As with other L. stoechas, the ability for plants to continue bloom beyond the spring seems to depend somewhat on heat intensity. Cooler summer areas usually have better summer flower production, although with some pruning after spring bloom even hot inland areas of California usually get a fall bloom.
'Boysenberry Ruffles' does not appreciate wet feet, so keep it on the dry side, amend the soil to improve drainage, and plant at the top of a mound to insure drainage throughout the year. 'Boysenberry Ruffles' is also a good choice for containers. It only grows to about 18 inches, so maintaining it in containers, or even using it as a topiary specimen, is possible.
