GROWING CANNABIS IN THE GARDEN

Are you ready to grow your own cannabis?  Did you know that you can successfully plant cannabis seed until Father's Day in our lovely California climate?  In this informative, hands on mid week workshop, we cover everything you need to know to grow healthy cannabis plants outside at home.  Each participant leaves class with a customized cannabis seedling starter kit. Here's what we'll explore:
● Cannabis, Marijuana, Hemp and our relationship with this plant
● Cannabis sativa botanical characteristics
● Seed selection
● How and when to plant seeds
● How to transplant seedlings
● Placement in the garden: container, raised bed or in-ground
● Sun, Soil, Water and Space needs
● How to take care for your plants as they grow and mature
At the end of class we'll have sales and signing of Penny's book The Cannabis Gardener and a large selection of Grow it From Home seeds for sale.

The instructors:
Penny Barthel is a Cannabis educator, gardener, and recipe developer. She believes that Cannabis belongs in the garden. A certified cannabis horticulturist, Penny is nationally known for her gardening workshops and book The Cannabis Gardener (Penguin Random House 2021).
Emily Gogol, PhD. is a Cannabis educator, horticulturist and gardening advocate. Emily is CEO of Grow It From Home, which is awarded a multi-year USDA grant to promote growing Cannabis at home, in a backyard or on a patio. She has won numerous awards for her garden advocacy, including a Certificate of Recognition by the California State Senate.
