A hybrid of L. dentata and L lanata, it is a wonderful choice for long bloom.  'Goodwin Creek' blooms 2-3 times/year, including in mid-winter at our nursery. The slightly toothed silver-grey leaves have a feathery appearance, and the foot long flower stems produce violet-blue flowers.

'Goodwin Creek' is one of our favorites for container growing, since the plant tends to look good all year. We also make topiaries out of this plant, since it takes the abuse of constant clipping and still will produce beautiful flowers after we have "horti-tortured" it.

Although this plant is supposed to mature to between 2 1/2 and 3 feet, in our gardens it never grows taller than 18 inches. We love planting this in mixed beds or with roses because it adapts so well to being a little more crowded and sharing space with other plants. 'Goodwin Creek Grey' also has such a long bloom time that it requires little maintenance to keep it productive.
