This is a lovely spurge, 2 ft by 2 ft, with dark purple leaves that get even darker if planted in full sun. In early spring large heads of yellow-green flowers (actually bracts) stand stoutly over the foliage. This is a great plant for large containers, looking good year round, even when not in flower.
Average water is best, but plants can be watered deeply and infrequently.
Sap can be irritating to the skin and eyes, so any pruning should be done with gloves.
Plant Patent #17,178.
