'Twickel Purple' is a beautifully shaped lavender in bloom, very spherical, growing to 2 1/2 feet. Foliage is a green-grey, with 8 inch tall flower stems. Flower petals (corollas) are bright violet-blue, calyces are pubescent and dark violet. Flowers are spaced along the flower stem, creating a long slender flower spike. It is well suited to tall hedges, but may be a bit sprawling. Prune regularly to maintain a rounded shape.
