Native to the southwest, this plant can be very drought tolerant, although with a bit more water it will really thrive. Spikes of brilliant true coral orange flowers throughout the summer and fall taste delicious not just to humans, but to hummingbirds as well. The sweet anise scented leaves and flowers smell and taste great! Try throwing the flowers into your vegetable or fruit salads this summer for a delicious kick. It also makes a great tea.

Be sure to plant Agastache in well drained soil - we find that if we plant a bit high so the plant sits on a bit of a mound it survives winter much better. Prune back to keep it from getting leggy, and also to promote bloom. With a little deadheading, bloom will continue from mid summer throughout the fall.
