Summer Harvest Celebration Tomato Preserving Party
10am-1pm Lafayette, California
Join renowned garden designer and author Stefani Bittner, Rose Lovell of Morningsun Herb Farm and Alexis of Soul Food Farms for a joyful, hands-on celebration of the summer tomato harvest. In this immersive workshop, you'll learn to preserve the season’s bounty by making vibrant tomato jam and learn how to preserve tomatoes via canning. We will also enjoy a fresh tomato sauce perfect for homemade pizzas. We'll roll up our sleeves in the kitchen and then head outdoors to bake pizzas in the garden, savoring the fruits of our labor under the summer sky.
The experience doesn't end with tomatoes — we'll also whip up a homemade basil, tomato ice cream to enjoy alongside our garden feast. Whether you're an experienced gardener, a passionate cook, or simply a lover of summer’s flavors, this class offers a memorable afternoon of learning, creating, and eating together in a beautiful, abundant setting.
