Deep green heart shaped leaves on this highland Guatemalan native, also known as Blue Vine Sage. Deep true gentian blue flowers on low sprawling plant from midsummer through fall - in mild climates it will bloom into the winter. Over time can become 8 feet wide and very vine like, re-rooting itself. Will spread by underground runners, so long as soil temperatures remain above 20 degrees. In colder climates grow as a container plant.
This sage prefers regular garden water and some dappled shade. In its native Guatemala it is an understory plant.
