Fleshy, crunchy leaves of this plant have a light mushroom flavor and are high in Iron, Vitamin C, and Calcium. Leaves can be eaten fresh, in salads or on sandwiches, or as a garnish. The mushroom flavor increases when cooked (soups or stews), add it at the last minute so that the bright color does not dull. Mushroom Plant does well with morning sun and regular water. Upright growth habit is great for the shade or containers, and it likes to grow in warm conditions. USDA Zone 9
