This little geranium looks very dainty, but can be a big work horse in the perennial garden or in a container. The finely toothed rounded leaves have a very soft velvety feel, a pleasantly spicy nutmeg aroma and the plant is covered with sprays of small white flowers sporadically throughout spring and summer. It tends to look very tidy, growing to only a foot tall, about 18 inches wide, and naturally rounded. It is even pretty in hanging baskets or tucked into a small area in a hillside. It thrives in afternoon shade in the hottest locations, but does well even in fairly dense shade.
