Sacred basil, also known as holy basil or tulsi basil, is revered by Hindus as a sacred plant. It has a heavy musky scent with a hint of mint and cloves. Aromatic. It is used as a culinary, but is also ann important medicinal plant for digestion. It is a male/female tonic. We grow a mix of red and green sacred basil, which has slightly fuzzy leaves and stems, and leaves that are dark green or tinted in violet. Flowers are deep violet. This is a very tough plant. It can take more drought and heat and still look, smell and taste good.Holy basil grows to 18 inches and prefers full sun.
