Herbaceous perennial. Sun. 1-2ft x spreading
Soft gray furry foliage with small orange flowers. Native to the Mediterranean region it has naturalized throughout Europe and the Americas as it easily self sows and can become invasive. Remove flowers and shear frequently to reduce spread. Usually grown only as a medicinal specimen.
Plant prefers full sun and dryish, nutrient-depleted soils. This is a plant that can literally be killed with kindness, so allow it to grow on the margins of the garden where water and nutrients grow thin.
