The growth habit is similar to English thyme, but the flavor is amazing! Leaves taste like a sweet lemon, and have a great lemon fragrance. This is a lovely plant to edge an herb garden or to put in a pot near your outdoor seating area. A delightful culinary - use in recipes that call for lemon juice or lemon zest. It is great to add to marinades, or chop the soft tips into your salad. Sprinkle on fish and chicken while baking. Grow in full sun or afternoon shade, with good drainage and average garden water. Mix in a 'lemon' themed container - lemon verbena, lemon thyme, lemon basil and lemon balm - all delicious for teas and cooking! Grows to 1 ft tall
