This is a lovely groundcover oregano, deep green leaves with a bit of red in the stems, and lovely fluffy pink blossoms in the summer. It is fairly indestructible, thriving in full to part sun, very little water, and handling some foot traffic - or, as we like to test groundcovers at our nursery, dog sleeping on traffic. It looks great year round, even in the middle of winter! Named after the woman who designed and first planted the Mediterranean herb garden at the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens, it is a worthy herb for every herb garden!
