Wooly lavender is native to hot dry high hillsides of southern Spain. The foliage is slightly twisted or cupped under, and the plant is very drought tolerant. Wooly lavender can withstand some freezing, but will not do well with wet waterlogged conditions.Flowers are deep violet, with white furry calyces. It is a stunning specimen plant, and is so soft to the touch that it feels like your favorite cat! Tempermental to grow, needing very well drained soil with little to no overhead watering.
