Dark grey green fern like foliage is finely divided into many branched segments. The foliage feels almost succulent like.  Long, wiry 18 inch flower stems support showy, light purple flowers divided into 3 segments. This lavender is very unique, and is much tougher than it appears.  Super drought and heat tolerant, it can be planted in very unkind areas and still grow full size to 3 ft, blooming from April until December or even later in the season.  It usually dies back in winter and is pruned down to 6 inches or 1 ft. Unlike other lavenders, the fragrance of flowers and foliage is somewhat lemony, with an earthy undertone.   Of all the lavenders, this one attracts the most pollinator activity.  Not just bees, but butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to it.  This is a great collector plant for everyone who thinks they grow all the different types of lavender already.
