This yarrow is stunning as a fresh flower display. Flowers are paprika red with yellow centers, slowly fading over time to a buff pink. This is one of the showier yarrows for the garden. Although it can be very drought tolerant, regular watering will increase the flower display. Deadhead flowers as they fade, and this yarrow will bloom from mid summer into the fall. As with all yarrows plant in full sun.
This is a great addition to butterfly gardens and cut flower gardens. It does not maintain the bright red color when air dried, but will fade to a pink if cut early.
Plant this with golden Rudbeckias or Echinacea 'Harvest Moon'.
