Striking dusky blue blooms with a sweet fragrance.
A fat, fluffy variety of butterfly bush, growing to 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Adonis Blue has an unusual flower color, a deep dusky blue violet with a sweet fragrance of springtime. The foliage is thick, producing a full plant that is useful as a thick hedge. Flower spikes are large, 8-10 inches, and if old flowers are pruned blooming will continue from late spring through early fall.
