Showy clumps of dark purple flowers, different from other coneflowers as the flower petals are recurved rather than reflexed, forming a cup of rose purple petals around the central cone. Excellent for cutting, attracts butterflies. Needs good drainage. This plant is native to only a small area in Tennessee, it is on the Federal Endangered Species List - it is a beautiful Enchinacea that needs to be kept in cultivation. Plant in full sun or afternoon shade.
