COMPLETE HERB GARDENING WEEKEND: GARDEN BUILDING BASICS 3/15/26 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Once you know what herbs you want to grow, you will want to give them the best start possible so you can be successful.
You will need to consider where your gardens should be located and what type of bed is best for herbs. We will look at light and sun considerations, soil needs and how to amend, garden bed building, fertilizers and how to apply, irrigation, drainage and more. We will discuss growing in ground, raised beds and containers, and why and how some herbs need to be contained. Weeding and weed suppression, water conservation and cultivation methods will all be discussed.
This class will give you a good foundation for choosing the best growing conditions for your new plants.
