This Mexican bush sage grows as large as the species, to 5 feet tall, but calyx and corolla of the flower are both deep purple, rather than purple and white. It is a beautiful color statement in the garden. Excellent as both a fresh cut flower and a dried flower for arrangements and wreaths, you will have to fight off the hummingbirds in the fall and winter to get close to this plant!
Plant in dry conditions in full sun. Prune to the ground in early spring to keep it tidy and blooming heavily.
