Yerba del Lobo is a beautiful California native that can grow at high elevations but also does well in a low elevation garden with consistent moisture. A medicinal plant, it is similar to Arnica but can be used even on broken skin. The entire plant is used as a liniment for bruised, sore and over worked muscles. Not recommended during pregnancy or for those with liver problems.
This perennial has a rosette of fleshy green leaves and sends up a stalk two to three feet tall of yellow orange daisy like flowers that are up to three inches across. Prefers full sun and is great for cutting and for attracting butterflies.
