Traditional velvety, fan shaped potato vine leaves but in bright chartreuse. Vigorous, and loves heat. Grow with burgundy foliage plants such as Heuchera 'Amethyst Mist' or Eupatorium rugosum 'Chocolate' in the shade, or try it with a hanging verbena in a sunny location. This selection is also more sun tolerant, and grows well even in full hot California sun. It tends to be a larger growing plant also, growing easily to 4 feet. It makes a great specimen for large hanging baskets. Its a fun plant to grow because you can pair it with shade loving or sun loving plants.
Ornamental sweet potatos are grown from tubers, and in Zones 10 and 11 would be considered perennial. In other zones they are annual, although the tubers can be dug up before the first frost and stored. Even as an annual, they are fun to grow because they are so fast and have such stunning color.
