Unlike single-flowered Angel's Trumpet, which has flowers that hang downward, 'Ballerina White' looks upward, the huge double 6- to 8-inch flowers exquisitely whorled to show off their beauty! The blooms are huge and pure white , in elegant whorls. Wonderfully fragrant, a single plant perfumes the garden!

The plant is unusually compact for a Datura; in containers it will grow to about a foot high and 3 feet wide. In the garden, it forms a dense, well-branched shrub 3 feet tall and slightly wider. Beginning in early summer and continuing until the fall weather sets in, the plant is covered with magnificent blooms, so fragrant that a single plant perfumes the garden!

In very hot climates it needs afternoon protection from the sun. Plant it in rich, humusy soil, water well and deeply, and fertilize with an all purpose fertilizer at least once a month. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Despite this fact, many other creatures will try to enjoy your Datura, so you will need to protect it from snails, slugs, and flea beetles.
