Ajuga 'Metallica' has very tight, crisp-leafed, crinkled bronze-purple foliage with a green-brown shine. It is excellent as a shady, moist loving groundcover but adapts to a little more sun than most Ajugas. Foliage colors are more vivid with morning sun. 6 inch blue flower spikes in early spring attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Grow this in mass or on shady hillsides.
