Hidcote Giant lavender is very different from the similarly named English lavender called Hidcote Blue lavender. It is a larger growing plant with long thick wands of medium purple flowers. Its a lavandin, so the fragrance has more of a camphor fragrance. It is a beautiful cut flower, and typically blooms twice a year, in early June and again in October. Hidcote Giant can take very hot dry conditions.
